Active Duty Military

Here we will be discussing our experiences with the military before, during, and after we were both active duty. There are so many life lessons that we can share and we will do our best to do so. There were so many things we did not know when we joined the military, and even more that we did not learn until after we got out. We hope to help you avoid those same issues and do even better than we did.

Contractor

After the military I did some time as a contractor, both stationed overseas and in the US. During this time I was finally able to experience what army wives felt while their spouses were deployed. If you have questions about this, please feel free to reach out and let us know or comment on this page.

Government Civilian Employee

From Active Duty, to Contractor, to DoD civilian it has been an interesting adventure all around. We have met lots of new and interesting people along the way, and continue to learn new things. I tell you what, the world is a really small place at least in the military community. We have run into people that we haven’t seen in years! It has been really nice to see them again and see how well they are doing.

Information Technology (IT)

Most of this time I have been an IT Professional. Holding positions from Entry Level Help Desk Technician, Server Administrator, and IT Customer Service Supervisor. I have build computers, entire networks, and server farms. Building a team that surpasses my technical know how. Managing Multi Million dollar projects.

JR Day Trader

Day Trading started as a side hustle while in South Korea, I was able to trade around 10 – 1100 at night for the US open. I would trade until 02 – 0300 in the morning get some sleep then wake up at 0600 to be at work at 0700. After having success (a $6000) day (30 mins.) I was hooked. Not being able to trade in PA because of time, I have found it again in Alaska. Having to wake up at 0400 in the morning is not ideal but that is why they call it HUSTLE.

Blogger/Vlogger/Youtuber

It is funny that I like to blog, I was never a writer and have Dyslexia. I do find that putting thoughts to “paper” has been very helpful. I started this blog as a way to remember what we have done as a family. As for making money from it, not even a little ;), yet. I will lump in Vlogging and YouTube in this category because it really all went together. I really love how when we visited a place we could capture it is several different ways and show it off. The creativity of video make was very important to me as my day job (IT) is not.
